Lunchapalooza Recap: BBQ & Jenga Champions
The Lab Depot family gathered once again for our latest installment of "Lunchapalooza". It was an afternoon fueled by smoky BBQ and the kind of intense focus usually reserved for high-level logistics.
The Main Event: Jenga Giants
While the BBQ was the main attraction, the real heat was found around the Jenga tower. In what can only be described as a masterclass in structural engineering and steady hands, one team rose above the rest.
After several breath-holding moments and near-collapses, the title of Jenga Champions was officially claimed by Team T: Anish, Lynn, Caleb, Danielle, & Chris.
Their victory wasn't just about luck—it was about a strategic synergy that kept the tower standing long after the laws of physics suggested it should have fallen.
Flavor & Community
The air at the pavilion was thick with the aroma of slow-cooked BBQ, providing the perfect backdrop for some much-needed downtime. Staff enjoyed a full spread of BBQ classics, proving that whether we are handling lab supplies or brisket, we prioritize quality. Between rounds of Jenga, the team took the opportunity to disconnect from the screens and reconnect with each other, sharing laughs and refueling for the weeks ahead.
Once again, a huge shout-out to our Impactful Events team for organizing a seamless afternoon. These events are the heartbeat of our company culture, reminding us that TLD is at its best when we’re working (and playing) together.
Witty Aside: We considered checking the Jenga blocks for industrial-grade adhesive after Team T’s performance, but we’ll just attribute it to "superior hand-eye coordination" for now. Stay tuned for the next showdown!
