Unlike rigid plastic alternatives, this natural latex tubing offers exceptional elasticity, allowing it to stretch over glass barbs and serrated connectors to create a leak-resistant, airtight seal without the need for clamps in most low-pressure applications. With a Shore A durometer of 35, this tubing is incredibly soft and pliable, yet maintains a high tensile strength of 3500 psi. Its translucent amber walls allow for easy visual monitoring of fluid flow and the detection of air bubbles or blockages within the line.

Self-Sealing Grip: The high coefficient of friction inherent to latex ensures that the tubing "grips" glass and plastic connectors, providing a secure fit that resists slipping.

Usage & Compatibility Tips:

Latex Allergy: This product is manufactured from natural rubber latex and may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Ensure proper PPE or alternative vinyl/silicone tubing is used where allergies are a concern.
Chemical Compatibility: While excellent for air, water, and many aqueous solutions, latex is not recommended for use with oils, petroleum products, or strong organic solvents, which can cause the tubing to swell and degrade.
Sterilization: Can be sterilized via autoclave or gas (EtO), but repeated heat sterilization will eventually reduce the elasticity and shorten the lifespan of the tubing.
