• Do you have an order minimum?

    Yes, we do. The minimum order is $50.00. Although you can place an order under $50.00 there is a $25.00 shipping and handling fee.
  • If I can't find an item I need, what should I do?

    The Lab Depot website only contains a fraction of the items we have access to. If you need something you can't locate on our site give us a call at 1-800-733-2522 M-F 8am-5pm EST or email us at sales@labdepotinc.com and we will do our best to find the item for you.

  • Can I use a purchase order?

    We accept hard copy faxed purchase orders from government agencies, public schools, & universities. The PO must have contact information for accounts payable, ship to information, a purchase order number and an authorization signature.
  • Can I set up a business credit account?

    Yes, an account can be set up for established companies with existing credit references by faxing your credit reference form to 706-265-2370 or requesting a credit application from ap@labdepotinc.com. Request must be accompanied by $500+ order.
  • Is your online credit card processing secure?

    We take numerous steps to ensure that your payment information is
    processed confidentially, accurately and securely. www.labdepotinc.com uses encryption technology, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), to protect your credit card information during data transport.

    Items that weigh over 50 lbs may incur additional freight charges above our Flat Rate Shipping. Certain hazardous items may have shipping restrictions and may require additional hazardous charges. Special handling for lift gates, inside deliveries and rescheduled deliveries may also be subject to additional freight charges. The above online Flat Rate Shipping table only includes normal dock to dock shipments for orders.

  • What is your shipping policy?

    Shipping is generally done via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or methods the customer may request. Items that weigh over 50 lbs may incur additional freight charges above our Flat Rate Shipping. Certain hazardous items may have shipping restrictions and may require additional hazardous charges. UPS or FED EX may not accept these items and alternate shipping methods will be used. We will make every effort to minimize shipping charges.

    Shipping regulations are constantly changing but we will try to inform our customers as this occurs. We ship from various locations within the Continental US. We will attempt to ship from the warehouse nearest to the ordering customer.

    These terms only apply within the Continental US. Shipments to Canada may incur additional freight charges. We can ship on customer freight accounts. In these cases, all additional freight charges will be waived.

    Additionally, The Lab Depot cannot ship chemicals to residential addresses, including home-based businesses as noted during checkout. This includes hazardous chemicals, non-hazardous chemicals and powdered culture media. To purchase these products, a business/commercial shipping address is required upon checkout. Be advised that we must ship chemicals to the business that has the intended use for such chemicals being ordered.

  • I received one item from my order. Where are the rest?

    We ship from various warehouses throughout the US. Usually orders with multiple items ship from various locations where ground shipment receipt times can vary.
  • My item is broken or damaged. What do I do?

    Any damages and exceptions must be noted on the bill of lading or delivery ticket. Capital equipment that has been damaged should be refused and left with the delivery company or carrier. The item must be inspected immediately for concealed damage. In the event of any such damage, the original shipping container must be saved for inspection. The Lab Depot Inc. should be notified immediately of such damage. Failure to adhere to this policy will release The Lab Depot, Inc. from any responsibility regarding replacement and/or credit.

    If you have received damaged merchandise, please email a photo of the damaged item with submission of RMA form showing damage, item packaging, interior and exterior shipping box and a signed bill of lading for truck shipments or tracking number for small package. Please hold all damaged material for carrier inspection until further notice.

  • How do I return an item?

    The Lab Depot will only accept returned goods if such return complies with the provisions in this policy.

    To ensure credit, returns must be pre-approved by an authorized The Lab Depot, Inc. representative, and assigned a return goods authorization number which must accompany the return.

    A request for return must be initiated within thirty days of the receipt of the merchandise.

    Risk of loss on items to be returned does not pass to The Lab Depot, Inc. until received by The Lab Depot, Inc. or an authorized vendor of The Lab Depot.

    If The Lab Depot Inc. determines that the return is a result of customer error, such items must be returned at the expense of the customer.

    Except for items which are returned as a result of a warranty repair failure, all items must be returned in their original box unmarked, unused, unopened and in resaleable condition.

    All items must be returned in their original box and packed in a sufficient exterior box for return shipping, and include all accessories, certificates, and manuals included in the original shipment.

    The following items may not be returned:
    • Refrigerated or sterile products may not be returned, even if they are unmarked or unused.
    • Made-to-order or specially ordered items (items not routinely stocked by The Lab Depot, Inc. or currently not sold by The Lab Depot, Inc.) may not be returned unless a vendor is willing to take back a specially ordered item. The return of a specially ordered item is subject to any restocking fee charged by the vendor.
    • Obsolete, discontinued, expired, short-dated, used, or items in units of measure less than the original unit of sale from The Lab Depot, Inc. may not be returned for credit.
    • Hazardous items and chemicals may not be returned.

    Note that returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 35%.
